Jake joined the Apex Physical Therapy team in June of 2018 after graduating with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Eastern Washington University. Prior to that, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He believes that people are made to move, and aims to help his patients optimize their movement so they can get back to the recreation, sports, and daily activities that they enjoy. He emphasizes active treatments in combination with manual therapy techniques to empower his patients to move better so they can move more.
Although he hails from Montana, Jake is looking forward to make the Spokane area his home and exploring more of the Inland Northwest. Outside of the clinic, you will probably find Jake hand in hand with his wife, Taylar, as they try to keep up with their two young children. Together they enjoy staying active by playing volleyball and basketball, backpacking, swimming, and fishing.
