Physical Therapist Assistant

Cindy Schaffers grew up in Hermiston, Oregon and at a young age decided she would like to provide physical therapy to young children. After high school she moved to Portland, Oregon where she attended Mt. Hood Community College and became a PTA. She then worked for 6 years at Kerr Center for Multi-handicapped Children. She moved on to work in skilled nursing homes, hospitals, home health and out patient clinics. Cindy is certified in LSVT BIG, a treatment developed for folks with Parkinson’s disease. She also did Lymphedema treatments under the direction of a Lymphedema therapist for 3 years.
Cindy and her husband Will move here from Laramie, Wyoming to be closer to family and still be close to the mountains. Both Cindy and her husband enjoy cross country skiing, hiking and biking. At home Cindy likes to garden, quilt and bake.
