Katriel Smit, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Katriel Smit, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist specializing in orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2016 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2025 from Whitworth University.

Katriel provides pelvic floor physical therapy for a wide range of conditions, including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and pre- and postpartum care. She uses an evidence-based, tailored approach to help people gain function and accomplish their goals.

Katriel also specializes in dance physical therapy. She integrates sports performance principles with an artistic understanding of movement to support dancers and active individuals. Her clinical training included a rotation at San Francisco Performing Arts Physical Therapy, where she gained experience working with dancers from leading companies such as San Francisco Ballet and Alonzo King LINES Ballet. She is also certified in PointeSafe, a screening tool used to assess readiness for pointe work. Katriel also treats individuals with hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD), Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and dysautonomia.

Beyond the clinic, she continues to teach dance locally, perform in professional productions, and enjoys fiber arts, outdoor activities, travel, and spending time with family in Alaska.
